Pamela Frye and Richard Boyles are native Oregonians and graduates of the University of Oregon in Eugene. Richard obtained his MBA at the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona. For six years, they lived and worked in the Seattle Washington area before relocating to Germany and Switzerland for two years, where Richard established regional offices for an electronics company. In 1989, Richard and Pamela returned to Eugene Oregon to start their family and establish Chalice Vineyard and Iris Hill Winery. Concurrently, Richard is the President of a local, family-owned, hotel development business. Pamela serves on the board of a number of non-profit organizations.
Pamela and Richards proudest achievement is being the parents of Amalia and Drew. The family is not complete without mentioning, Iris, their Airedale, named after the winery. From their home, perched on a knoll overlooking their vineyard estate, they enjoy their rural lifestyle and the bucolic landscape of the Lorane Valley, southwest of Eugene, Oregon.
