Iris Hill Wines Currently Available

2005 Chardonnay: Aromas of butterscotch, toffee, caramel and vanilla. Nice round mouth feel with good balanced acidity, with a wonderful long spicy finish.

 

2005 Chardonnay – Unoaked: Chablis like in character. Aromas of green apples, lemon chiffon, and melons. Steely with a mineral element; racy acidity with a nice long finish.

 

2005 Pinot Noir: This is a median bodied Pinot Noir, with aromas of Bing and black cherries, strawberries, violets, and spices, mixed with subtle oak and good acidity. The wine is soft and smooth with a long finish.

Food Suggestions: Braised Chicken with fresh Italian herbs and black olives; Pasta tossed lightly with a slow cooked Meat sauce of Pork, Lamb & Beef; Scaloppine Di Vitello Al Fughi; Seared Tuna lightly encrusted with pepper; Pork Chops grilled with tart apple, apple brandy and fresh sage.

 

2005 Pinot Gris: Classic Pinot Gris fruit, round soft structure with wonderful fruit to acid balance. Hints of tropical fruit, banana, peach, and apricot.

 

2005 Pinot Gris – Sur Lie: Classic Pinot gris fruit, round soft structure with wonderful fruit to acid balance. Hints of tropical fruit, banana, peach, and apricot.
